Matr3arch Activations are built upon the ethos of interactivity, where each thread seamlessly connects to another. Our approach to world-building is inclusive, showcasing diverse and untold stories through art, permanent installations, exhibits, narrative environments, immersive experiences, placemaking, and public artwork. From immersive environments intertwined with cinematic elements to standalone exploratory realms, we craft worlds that transcend boundaries. We redefine physical spaces by making them interactive, moving beyond static digital interfaces. Our work enhances the built environment with multi-sensory experiences that seamlessly blend technology with human interaction.

Our inaugural activation:

Celebrating the multi-faceted essence of blackness through the heartbeat of hardcore. Blackness isn't singular—it's a symphony of identities. We championed this project to spotlight the integral voices of ZULU, led by Anaiah Lee. ZULU, a groundbreaking black punk band, defies norms in the rock industry, catalyzing change. Our support birthed an art installation and the electrifying short film music video, "From Tha Gods to Earth." Launched in February 2023.

Gold Teeth embarks on a feature-length odyssey, intertwining threads of exploration throughout its activation video game, immersive art installation, and grill designer collaboration. Set against the backdrop of the Afro-futurist landscape of the Dirty South, it follows the journey of a young black queer grill designer, blessed with the ancient power to transmute anything to gold, echoing the legends of MANSA MUSA and Midas. This multi-dimensional experience invites audiences to immerse themselves in a fantastical narrative, weaving together elements of fantasy gaming, art, and design. Through surrealism and reflection on black grill culture and wealth distribution, Gold Teeth celebrates the richness of black heritage across the diaspora, offering a transformative odyssey of self-discovery and ancestral connection.
